UNICAL IMPORTANT NOTICE ON GST REGISTRATION CHARGES

The attention of the union has been drawn to a certain N5,000 collected through Unical Microfinance Bank as payment for EDC examination and consumables in addition to the statutory registration charge for GST courses.

The Union led by Raymond Moses Derek frowns at this development as it's bringing untold hardship on students offering GST courses (GST 102, GST 202, and GST 302).

In a bid to address this, the union had a fruitful meeting with management today.

Therefore, students are directed to immediately stop payment of the N5,000 for EDC examination and consumables till further notice.

Peradventure you had paid this charge prior to this publication, please expect update soon on what to do while the union continue to interface with management.

GSS EXAM TO BE COMPUTER-BASED

The management has approved CBT for GSS examinations in light of challenges students face with gss.

Among other things, the CBT exam is expected to curb the following issues:

- mass failure in gss courses

- cash for grade as alleged by students

- missing scores and results

- delayed release of gss results.

Also, students are advised to obtain the GSS revision book which contain past questions in preparation for exams. This became necessary due to the rush associated with this semester.

Please make effort to get the revision book from the gss center. The union advices you to do so.

We apologize for any inconvenience any of this may have caused so far as your interest and welfare is the prime agenda of the Students' Union.

Aluta continua, Victoria acerta!
